Role playing etiquette
I. Spelling/Grammar. I understand that not everybody is the greatest speller. That's what spell check is for. If you think you need it, use it. If you cannot put together a sentence, then this isn't where you belong. We don't want to see any chatspeak in the game either. We can't role play with you if we can't understand you.
II. Post length. We're not going to give you a post count that you have to reach. All that we ask is that you give us at least one solid paragraph. One liners are extremely frowned upon. Give your partner something to work with. The more that you give, the easier it is to respond.
III. Third person. Your posts should be in third person, past. For example:
He crossed the hallway and opened the door.
Not:
I crossed the hallway and opened the door.
Or:
He crosses the hallway and opens the door.
IV. No godmoding! If it isn't your character, you cannot play them. Only the player of a certain character can make choices as to what their character is going to do. Everyone should know this rule already. If it's not your character, don't control them. It's as simple as that.
V. Mind-readers. Just because you were privy to information about a character doesn't necessarily mean that your character was too. If someone has a secret that wasn't told to anyone, your character can't automatically know it.
VI. Plot-stomping. If someone has a plot going, do not invade and make it about yourself. Be careful when jumping into somebody else's thread, they may have other plans or a different intent to the thread. If it tags a specific person, then do not join it. You may ask the creator if you can, but if they refuse, that's the end of it. If it says open, anyone can jump in. Simply, don't be an attention whore. Everyone deserves their chance for some spotlight.
VII. Fighting IC. First of all, if you fight in character, this doesn't mean you are fighting out of character. We should all know how to decipher role play from real life. Second, you have to take some hits. No one is invincible. On the same note, you cannot dictate which hits your partner took.

Membership Rules
I. This is a mature role playing site centred around young adults. We don't want a bunch of characters under the age of 18 running around. If you can't live without a character under the age of 18, contact a staff member and we'll decide whether or not you can. But as a warning, odds are you won't be allowed to.
II. You must have an accepted application before you begin role playing. Please follow our format and post the application in the proper area. If you aren't accepted, don't worry, we will give you a chance to fix your mistakes.
III. Make sure to check out the face claim before you create a character. We don't want doubles running about! And we would like to avoid having to ask you to change it.

Out of Character
I. Respect. This is a big one. Rudeness is really not welcome here. We're all here to have fun and role play. Don't bring your drama onto the site or lash out on anybody. We especially don't want to see any racist or homophobic comments. Anything like that can get you banned without a warning.
II. Don't spam the boards or the Cbox. Guests judge us on what's written on the site. Help us keep it neat and without needless spam.
III. Keep out of character drama out of character. If you're upset at somebody out of character, you can't bring it into the role play. Just because you dislike someone doesn't mean that your character has any reason to hate that persons character or to fight with them. Be realistic.
IV. Have fun! This is just a role play. There's no need to get stressed out over anything. If you have any questions at all, feel free to PM a staff member. We're always willing to help.
