The lie was easily read and in an instant, Luke folded his arms, eyeing her disapprovingly. He knew her well enough to see right through that! "No, he didn't." He corrected her. It wasn't information that he had before she said that he did. While he had no clue what had happened, he knew that her version of it was definitely untrue. "I want answers, Cara, and I want them now."

Cara rolled her eyes "fine. I met a guy, followed him up here, only to have sneak off on me and I get to wake up with him gone. Are you happy now?" she snapped, grabbing her pants and putting them on. She didn't like talking about Johnny. It wasn't like she didn't care about him. She had gotten her heart broken.

"Not really, no. Pretty disappointed actually. You're just 16! Do you know how many freaks are out here? You shouldn't be unsupervised. You should be at home; safe. Not chasing some guy or stripping for a bunch of sleazy, no good guys." He lectured her. But, it was out of worry that he did it. He loved his sister and he didn't want to see her end up getting hurt-- If she hadn't already. He wanted to protect her and now that he was aware of her, he planned to.

"should'a coulda woulda. Nothing I can do about that now. Mom's dead, and dad--shit, he doesn't even deserve the title. Now get out of my face so I can get back to my apartment" she said and with her bag in hand, she walked off again. She was so upset, she even forgot her coat, even though it was wintertime

Luke's friends were long forgotten now and surely they wouldn't expect to be seeing him again tonight. They would get along fine with out him anyway. He had far more stressing matters to attend to. As she started to walk away again, he followed and this time reached out and took her arm. "No, you know what? You're coming back with me." He informed her, figuring he could dictate it. He didn't trust her going off on her own, even if she had a place.

Cara shoved him "let go! You can't make me do anything!" she growled at him. She didn't want to, because he probably wouldn't want her shooting up Heroine

He stepped back when pushed, but didn't let it deter him. He was too stubborn to take that answer and go with it. "You don't think so, huh? You're all alone here. I'm not letting you run off. You need to be safe and if that means dragging you back to my place, then I'll do it." Regardless if his place was in a residence hall at university. He was going to take her along! No wasn't the answer that he was willing to hear.

Cara looked at him with annoyance. She had never acted like this around him. She had always loved being with him. But now, she was irritated. "whatever" she said and headed for the restrooms. She had a plan. A flawed plan, but it was a plan

Luke continued to follow. All he wanted to do was help her, and he couldn't understand why she was being so resistant to that. They had gotten along so well before! He didn't know what went wrong or what happened to make her act this way around him. "What's going on with you? You can talk to me, you know!" He exclaimed as he followed her towards the bathroom.

"leave me alone!" she yelled as she ducked inside the girl's restrooms. She looked in her purse, and the needle was in there--but where was the goods? She looked around and groaned. If she dropped them, she hoped it wasn't where he could find them

"I'll come in there after you!" He warned, but when he called it out it was an empty threat. He didn't feel like running into the women's restroom. Sighing, he looked down at the floor, and it was then that he saw a bag on the floor. Blinking, he bent down and picked it up. He didn't see her drop it, but it was laying right there and he couldn't help but to worry further. Without warning, he opened up the door. "Is this yours?!" He demanded.

And there it was--in his hand "no!" and thre went her pitch again. This one had physical evidence, and if he looked closer at her arms when he grabbed them, the track marks would answer his question

The question was answered by the pitch and his fear became a reality in a split second. Not about to dispute it, he grabbed her arm, in search of physical evidence. He never looked at her arm close enough before, but he knew the signs of an addict and could see the track marks without fail. When he saw them, he shook his head and let go. "Cara, do you know how dangerous this is? It could kill you! Why? How could you get into something like this? I thought you were smarter than that."

"you don't know anything about me!" she hissed at him and grabbed the baggie from him, quickly stuffing it down her pants. She figured there would be no way he would go after it

"I know this isn't you!" Luke exclaimed. As she snatched her bag away and shoved it in her pants, he glared. "Hey!" There wasn't any way that he was going to reach into her pants to grab it. He would walk into a women's restroom after her, but he drew the line at reaching into her clothes for something. Still, he had no intention of leaving her long enough for her to drug herself up.
